Dr. Mehta is a specialist in the diseases and surgery of the retina, vitreous, and macula. His expertise includes the treatment of age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, simple and complex retinal detachment repair, surgical removal of the epiretinal membranes, and the surgical management of complex trauma cases.
Dr. Mehta completed his undergraduate education at The University of Michigan, graduating with high distinction. He then graduated with honors from the Wayne State University School of Medicine where he was inducted into the AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society). He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute where he served as Chief Resident. He then stayed on to complete a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the prestigious Kresge Eye Institute, under the direction of Dr. Gary Abrams, where he served as Chief Fellow as well.
He has written many articles and chapters for publication as well as presented at national and international meetings. Dr. Mehta is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, The Michigan State Ophthalmology Society, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Joined CRC in August 2014.
